The packaging of extruded aluminum and its preparation for transport are operations that have been carried out manually up to now. In fact, the flexibility of the extrusions and the multiple variations to form a bundle, require particular dexterity and specific expertise. This is a labour intensive operation that has a significant impact on the production costs.
What is the goal?
To automatically “see” the shape and define its position, “pick” the profile taking in consideration shape and surfaces to be protected, “pack” a master bundle with specific profile orientations and proper surface protections.
